**Launch of national foreign television channel - Vietnam Today**
National Foreign Television Channel - Vietnam Today, was established under Decision No. 747/QD-TTg dated April 11, 2025 of the Prime Minister on providing national foreign television services to promote Vietnam to the world. Vietnam Today broadcasts 24/7 in English, applying technology to provide multilingual subtitles, suitable for each country and territory where the channel is transmitted.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, VTV Deputy General Director Do Duc Hoang said that after many years of planning and implementation, Vietnam Television will launch the foreign language television channel Vietnam Today on September 7. This is the first national foreign television channel broadcasting 24/7 mainly in English, integrating multilingual subtitles, and present on modern media platforms, with the goal of global coverage.
In the context of a rapidly changing world with many intertwined challenges and opportunities, conveying the image of Vietnam to the international community in a correct, sufficient, timely and profound manner is an urgent task.
Vietnam Today was born with the desire: to be an information window for the world to understand, feel and connect with Vietnam; where the world can understand correctly and fully about a peaceful, stable, innovative, dynamically developing and comprehensively integrated Vietnam.
Vietnam Today channel is built on three core principles: authentic information, sharp content and creative communication. The channel provides multi-dimensional information about the country in many fields. Vietnam Today channel's television programs and digital content products are invested in quality in both content and form of expression, suitable for the tastes of international audiences.
Vietnam Today acts as a connecting platform to promote the national brand and image to the world. Through this, Vietnam Today contributes to expanding international cooperation, creating a bridge between Vietnam and the global community, and affirming the country's position and prestige in the international arena.
Deputy General Director Do Duc Hoang added that from 2026, Vietnam Television will continue to work with partners and television service providers in locations around the world to transmit channels in key locations of national foreign information in popular methods, suitable for each country and region, ensuring convenience and efficiency in viewing (Terrestrial television; digital satellite television; cable television; IPTV television; internet television - OTT; program exchange...).
Vietnam Today is aimed at audiences around the world. These include the international community interested in the situation and development of Vietnam; politicians and policy makers needing (who need) objective and reliable information; scholars, experts and researchers who want to access data and in-depth analysis; investors looking for business opportunities; tourists who want to explore destinations; and many international friends who love and accompany Vietnam.

**Ra mắt kênh truyền hình đối ngoại quốc gia - Vietnam Today**
Kênh Truyền hình đối ngoại quốc gia - Vietnam Today, được thành lập theo Quyết định số 747/QĐ-TTg ngày 11/4/2025 của Thủ tướng Chính phủ về việc thực hiện cung ứng dịch vụ truyền hình đối ngoại quốc gia quảng bá Việt Nam ra thế giới. Vietnam Today phát sóng 24/7 bằng tiếng Anh, ứng dụng công nghệ để cung cấp phụ đề đa ngôn ngữ, phù hợp với từng quốc gia và vùng lãnh thổ nơi kênh được truyền dẫn.
Phát biểu tại Lễ giới thiệu, Phó Tổng Giám đốc VTV Đỗ Đức Hoàng cho biết, sau nhiều năm ấp ủ và triển khai, Đài Truyền hình Việt Nam sẽ ra mắt kênh Truyền hình đối ngoại bằng tiếng nước ngoài Vietnam Today vào ngày 7/9 tới. Đây là kênh truyền hình đối ngoại quốc gia đầu tiên phát sóng 24/7 chủ yếu bằng tiếng Anh, tích hợp phụ đề đa ngôn ngữ, hiện diện trên các nền tảng truyền thông hiện đại, với mục tiêu phủ sóng khắp toàn cầu.
Trong bối cảnh thế giới biến động nhanh chóng với nhiều thách thức và cơ hội đan xen, việc truyền tải hình ảnh Việt Nam tới cộng đồng quốc tế một cách đúng, đủ, kịp thời và sâu sắc là (một) nhiệm vụ cấp bách.
Vietnam Today ra đời với mong muốn: là cửa sổ thông tin để thế giới hiểu, cảm nhận và kết nối với Việt Nam; nơi thế giới có thể hiểu đúng và đầy đủ về một Việt Nam hòa bình, ổn định, đổi mới sáng tạo, năng động phát triển và hội nhập toàn diện.
Kênh Vietnam Today được xây dựng trên ba nguyên tắc cốt lõi: thông tin chính thống, nội dung sắc bén và truyền thông sáng tạo. Kênh mang đến thông tin đa chiều về đất nước trên đa lĩnh vực.
