**Second day of holiday: 47 people injured in traffic accidents**
The Office of the National Traffic Safety Committee has sent a quick report to the Government Office on the traffic order and safety situation on August 31, 2025 (the second day of the 4-day National Day holiday on September 2).
Accordingly, there were 42 road traffic accidents nationwide, killing 23 people and injuring 24; no incidents were recorded on railways or waterways. Compared to the same period in 2024, there were 25 fewer accidents, 18 fewer deaths, and 12 fewer injuries.
Regarding patrol and control work, the national traffic police force handled 9,452 violations, fined 25.465 billion VND; temporarily detained 37 cars, 2,472 motorbikes and 90 other vehicles; revoked 391 driving licenses, deducted points in 1,208 cases. Of which, there were 1,978 cases of alcohol concentration violations, 2,103 speed violations, 59 cases of overloading, 27 cases of exceeding the size limit, 71 cases of carrying more people, and 7 cases of drug violations.
Railways detected and handled 2 violations with a fine of 1 million VND; waterways handled 189 cases, fined 235 million VND.
On August 31, the National Traffic Safety Committee hotline did not receive any complaints from the public. According to the media, traffic in Hanoi recorded heavy traffic on some routes such as Ring Road 3, Giai Phong, Nguyen Trai, Le Van Luong and the area around My Dinh and Giap Bat bus stations, but there were no traffic jams.
Văn phòng Ủy ban An toàn giao thông Quốc gia đã có báo cáo nhanh gửi Văn phòng Chính phủ về tình hình trật tự, an toàn giao thông trong ngày 31/8/2025 (ngày thứ 2 trong kỳ nghỉ lễ Quốc khánh 2/9 kéo dài 4 ngày).
Theo đó, toàn quốc xảy ra 42 vụ tai nạn giao thông đường bộ, làm 23 người tử vong và 24 người bị thương; đường sắt, đường thủy không ghi nhận vụ việc. So với cùng kỳ năm 2024, giảm 25 vụ, 18 người chết và 12 người bị thương.
Về công tác tuần tra, kiểm soát, lực lượng Cảnh sát giao thông toàn quốc đã xử lý 9.452 trường hợp vi phạm, phạt tiền 25,465 tỷ đồng; tạm giữ 37 ô tô, 2.472 mô tô và 90 phương tiện khác; tước 391 giấy phép lái xe, trừ điểm 1.208 trường hợp. Trong đó, vi phạm nồng độ cồn có 1.978 trường hợp, vi phạm tốc độ 2.103 trường hợp, chở hàng quá tải 59 trường hợp, quá khổ giới hạn 27 trường hợp, chở quá số người 71 trường hợp, vi phạm ma túy 7 trường hợp.
Đường sắt phát hiện, xử lý 2 trường hợp vi phạm với số tiền phạt 1 triệu đồng; đường thủy xử lý 189 trường hợp, phạt 235 triệu đồng.
Trong ngày 31/8, đường dây nóng của Ủy ban An toàn giao thông Quốc gia không tiếp nhận phản ánh từ người dân. Trên các phương tiện thông tin đại chúng, tình hình giao thông tại Hà Nội ghi nhận một số tuyến như Vành đai 3, Giải Phóng, Nguyễn Trãi, Lê Văn Lương và khu vực quanh bến xe Mỹ Đình, Giáp Bát có lưu lượng phương tiện đông, di chuyển chậm nhưng không xảy ra ùn tắc.
